Innovative sorting system for strawberry plants designed

Strawberry plant propagators face quite some challenges nowadays. Reducing labour is one, and our systems help with that. Together with Mazzoni Group, we designed a future proof and secure strawberry plant sorting system including Industry 4.0.

So how does our system work? During harvesting the strawberry bare root plants are brought in bulk to the packing hall. The plants are all in a tangle and contain sand and stones from the field. We first separate the plants from the sand and the stones, and thereafter make a thin layer of plants. The sorting of these plants is still a manual job, but we make it an easy task for the workers. Every worker has a safe and pleasant ergonomic working space increasing the speed of sorting and packing.
